I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

FINAL EXHIBITION

I was very pleased with the way my exhibition set up turned out. my box looks better than i expected and the space works really well. i ended up using some LED lights (on a strobe effect) as well as a laptop inside the box. this made so some light reflected off my models. i had 3 walls, all with work mounted on them i used foamboard to mount my 'World of Tomorrow' series, this worked really well and looked good against the black wall.

FINAL PIECE IDEA

I will be attempting to build a fully black box which will include a laptop playing all the videos i have made. on the other side of the box will be a small peep hole which the viewer looks through. there will also be some of the futuristic forms i made inside. ideally due to the fact that they are reflective they should reflect any light from the video, thus creating some atmosphere. My concept will be physically looking into my view of the future/world of tomorrow.

VISIT THE WORLD OF TOMORROW

ENJOY, RELAX IN AND EXPLORE THE FUTURE!
Some more promotional posters promoting the World of Tomorrow. Due to the fact that i have been looking at alot of of retro-futuristic imagery and work I decided it would be a good idea to combine both vintage and futuristic imagery, colours and composition to make some sort of fusion of posters promoting the future almost as if it were a holiday destination.

THE WORLD OF TOMORROW

These are some updated versions of my promotional posters. I decided to seperate the text slightly as it would make it clearer to read as well it does not obstruct the image behind it.

TV NOISE STILLS

Could noise replace the sky we see?

LAVA

I have been thinking about the idea / concept of portraying visions of what i think the planet could look like in the very distant future. Through time natural forms will change in many different ways and I will be testing and exploring how the properties, aesthetics, textures and sounds can be altered.

VIDEO IDEA (PROJECTED WITH FORMS)

EXPERIMENTATION WITH COLOUR AND COLLAGE

Here i tried out a ripped collage idea involving my scanned in universe pictures and some foil. i also wanted to see how this looked my my designed typeface so i picked a relevant quote from the film 2010: The Year We Made Contact.

Im hoping this wlll help me think about composition for any book covers that i design.

REBRANDING

Here I have attempted to give two of Arthur C. Clarkes a new look.

BENBO GEORGE

I have recently come across Benbo George who is a graphic designer and illustrator, originally from the Wirral, Merseyside. He produces beautiful, futuristic collages using old OMNI magazines as inspiration. These will definitely inspire me for my own collages.
